1997 Ford Contour brake lights

I have a 1997 ford contour. Brake lights do not work . The 3rd light in the back window does work just not the tail lights. Fuses are fine, bulbs have been replaces. The night driving lights do work. What can be causing this problem?

Hello and thanks for the donation!

Suspect a faulty brake lamp switch. Switch controls lower two brake lamps while a separate relay controls the high-mount lamp. Switch is located on brake pedal arm , under driver dash.
