I have had an intermittant grinding noise when I try to start my car. First, I had the starter replaced. It didn't help. The problem was just as bad. A mechanic told me that I needed a new electrical harness. I had that repaired. Very expensive. Someone told me the flywheel was bad. I went to a transmission place and they replaced the flywheel. It still was grinding. I went to another mechanic that said the torque converter was stuck in the off position. That was 1,800 dollars and my car was 11 years old. I just lived with it for a year longer. Any ideas how this can be fixed short of 1,800 dollars? Sincerely Delores
