1996 Ford Contour Car Will Not Idle

When i start my car if i do not press any force on the gas pedal it will sputter and die immediately. it only idles after about 20 mins of constant drive time and while idling sputters. what can i do to fix this problem?

Try cleaning the idle air control valve, Mass airflow sensor,EGR/PCV valves and test the throttle position sensor.
