replaced brake light switch an cruise shut off switch an wiring harness for both. but noticed the brake light works opposite . the light stays on an when you press the brake it goes off . this is driving me nuts . the local ford dealership says he never heard of it happening Is ther a way i can straight wire the brake light swtich ? Does the break light swithch work on a positive current HELP

The brake switch is open when not depress-When depress the switch closes and power is transfered to the lights. You probably need to adjust it or you got the wrong type of switch
