1996 Ford Contour brake lights

1996 Ford Contour 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

THe lower brake lights do not work, but the cabin brake light works. I have checked the bulbs and they are good. The brake switch appears to be good.ANy ideas

i would suspect a faulty turn signal switch. try getting a new one from a junk yard becausse the new ones are EXPENSIVE!
