we tried changing the bulb in my moms car but no luck the brake lights do not work? Can it be a fuse and if so where is the fuse she has millions of fuse boxes under her dash

Yes it does work. I tried all day with my mom's brake light but no success. She is 78 and cannot afford to send it some place so your help is appreciated

Since the high rise light is working but the lower brake lights are not working, its a good reason to suspect that the fault is located in the turn signal switch.

Take and go to a junk yard to get the part that way you save the money. Pretty simple to install just take your time.
