I recently bought a used 1998 cobra mustang 4.6 dohc. The seler told me the engine was rebuilt. I would like to know what the compression test result should be for good cylinder compression, stock. Seller wasnt sure if the compression ration had been dropped or raised.

you won't be able to tell compression ratio by a compression test. But if your compression is around 120-150 p.s.i. you should be ok. Make sure you do it correctly and there shouldn't be a 20% variance between cylinders.
