I have a 88 Ford Bronco, 5.0L, 150K mi, Automatic Tranz, Manual Locking hubs (model 44).

The Front Right wheel has seized, and I am replacing the bearings. The adjusting nut will not turn. Any suggestions?

I have replaced the Left Front with no problems.

Is the lock ring with the pin still in place? And you do have the right socket for these spindles?

Yes, I have removed the 'C' ring and pin. I also have the correct hub socket. The lock ring in the back does release when I apply pressure to the socket, but it will not turn.
