Started three days ago. Engine tries to start and after two or three attempts will start. Runs good after starting. Starts good after warm up. Can EGR valve cause this problem?. What else might be the hard start cause?

Hello,

There could be several contributing factors of why the engine is hard to start.
It could be due to a weak fuel pump, dirty throttle bore, worn out spark plugs, low engine compression, bad mass air flow sensor etc.

The best course of action would be to take a look at individual items and take necessary steps. Like cleaning the throttle bore, replacing spark plugs, testing the fuel pressure and so on.

Here is a helpful guide:

Go through the steps and report back to what you have found.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
