1995 Ford Bronco gas gauge not working right

since last fill up gas gauge not working right . do you have to drop gas tank to replace gas sensor or do you have to change pump and float together.

you ca buy and sending unit and remove the old one from the pump and put new one on. but i suggest buying a new assembly
