1992 Ford Bronco V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic 189K miles

My temperature gauge increases while I am on the freeway, when I slow down the temperture drops to normal. If I stop the temperature remains at normal. At the same time I am not getting alot of heat from my vents when I turn the heater on. Any suggestions.
