When you say it has trouble what kind? Clicking? Or nothing at all? If you hear a click, then either the battery is weak, or the starter, possibly bad battery cable connections, check and clean both ends of BOTH cables! Dissconnect negative(-) first, and put it on last! If no click the starter relay is no good!

Check the relay. It's on the fender next to the battery, turn the key to on, then use a jumper wire of a heavt guage, from the small red/blue wier on top to the cable that goes to the starter, See if it cranks or starts. DO NOT disconnect any wires! After you determine if it starts this way, take jumper off, I just hold it there and release it after it cranks or starts.
