I have the 5.8L v8 and the problem started with a little rough shift. Didn't think much of it. Don't drive very often and it started to be very stiff in reverse. I would literally have to step on the gas up to about 3,000rpms in order for it to go into reverse. I have used it twice since then and now all the sudden its barely going forward in drive. Even if i shift to first it barely goes anywhere. It seems like the trans because the engine still sounds normal even when im in drive but it just seems as though the power isn't being transfered to the wheels. I don't know what to do!!! HELP!!!

check and make sure you have full fluid level in the trans. I've had an instance where the fluid had leaked down far enough that the trans wouldn't work properly. After that, I'm not sure what could cause that problem other than torque converter issues.

Is it leaking any fluid if so torqu converter for sure if not it could be clogged trans lines clogged radiator trans coolant or could be that the bands inside the trans have been worn out.
