...went to start the truck, and it turned over, but no start. with a bit of troubleshooting I discovered I had no spark.

Well I happened to jiggle a few wires in the driver side cluster over the wheelwell and voila it started. So I went merrily along my way.

Now it does it again and lo, no jiggling helps. Now I'm stuck

I've been assuming it's some corroded connectors causing an open ..but...

Did you check the wiring to the ignition module?
