what else should i replace while i am at it? ie, hoses, fan, fan clutch, thermostate, belts......(i am replacing the water pump and radiator

If the hoses are old, I would recommend them. Also, while you are at it, the thermostat is right there, so it would be a good idea. Make sure to flush the engine block too as well as back flush the heater core.
