1989 Ford Bronco speedometer

Hi i have a bronco 2, 2.9L
the speedometer stopped working, so i replaced the cable, still didn't work so i replaced the speed sensor......still doesn't work.....what do i need to check now?

Jack up rear wheels remove cable at trans start in gear does speedo gear rotate? if no remove bolt and clamp pull out plastic gear. Teeth worn replace.
