1988 Ford Bronco Rear Window

I have a 1988 Ford Bronco and my problem is my rear window is stuck in the down postion . I can't get it up.
I have power going to the tailgate.
How can i get the window up.I would appreciate any help.

check the tailgate latch bushings, if worn or missing, the switch will not be tripped
