I had to replace the ignition switch in my Bronco when I tried to start it and the key got stuck in the start position and fried the battery and the starter solenoid. I went to that parts store and bought a battery, new solenoid, and ignition switch. I replaced the battery and solenoid and started work on the ingition switch. In order to replace the switch, the key has to be in the "run" position and the battery disconnected. After following all of the instructions and replacing the switch properly, I started to connect the battery, and the truck tried to start. The new ignition switch was in the "off" position and it shouldn't be trying to start. What is wrong?
