I am replacing the fuel tank and sending unit on the 1988 Bronco II and have discovered that the Snap In connection between the fuel lines and the sending unit do not match up, the plastic tabs on the sending unit side are different in shape. It appears that there was a design change in this connection, can you confirm this change and recommend an alternate solution(s) to the problem?

Thank you.

not really design change but the fact that you have a aftermarket fuel pump put in and not oem and they can put whatever connector they want. check with your autopart store for a new connector. if not you can do some soldering.
