Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 176k miles

I recently noticed that my fuel tank was leaking, in which I have repaired it. My truck ran as good as it gets until this mishap and I am at my wits end.

I returned with 3 gal of fuel put in the tank and started to turn the motor over. In this case thats all I have been able to get outa the thing since. I have replaced the fuel filter to no avail. I was on an auto parts website that suggested that my Eddie Bower edition may have two fuel pumps both inside and outside the tank. If so how would I know which pump isnt suppling the fuel it should, and second the amount of fuel that I placed back into the tank, was it suffecient? I will take all the advice I can get from you as this is really driving me crazy. I have also checked the fuel rail ( identical to where air enters the tire) and did never really get much on fuel, first it was only air, then after more cranking and charging battery I could see that the air was giving way to fuel. Is there a way to gage the pressure comming out?

Do you hear the fuel pump come On-if so check the fuel pressure if its within specs. Fuel pump don't come On check fuse/fuel pump relay and inertia switch.
