1986 Ford Bronco Engine Size unknown All Wheel Drive Manual 15600 miles

I have a 1986 ford bronco 2 it is a 5 speed with a 2.9 engine 2wheel an 4 wheel. I need to know if I have to drop the gas tank to put a fuel pump in it or is there an easier way to put a fuel pump with out droping the gas tank?

p.S im really not sure bout the milaGE
