Just been overhauled 2.8 engine has power as long as in park put it in reverse it has no power at all it will not move everything is in time has no power in gears as long as its flat

That doesn't make sense. Could the catylatic converter be plugged? Any major vacuum leaks? When you say no power at all, will it move the vehicle? Does it backfire, try to rev?
