1976 Ford Bronco catatlytic converter replacement

she starves out at temp and will not excel until the engine is cool again.....catalytic converter needs replacement but feel we should change gas tank and lines also

If there's no problem with the tank and lines-replace the catalytic converter if its clogged-up causing the lack of acceleration due to excessive exhaust backpressure-
