Electrical problem
1972 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual 100K miles

Dear Bob and Ken,
Just had a question on a recent purchase I am trying to get running. I do not have any spark at the ingition coil when I turn the engine over. The ignition coil and starter relay are new, and I know I have the connections correct. I do not really know what to check now. The cap/rotor and points all look fine. Please advise.
Much appreciated

Change the points, and while in ther see if the sist. Shaft moves side to side. If yes it's NG! You can try regapping the points first. You need to put one of the lobes in possition to fully open the points, then make the adjustment. I do not have the specs on the settings, after you get it running adjust the dwell angle, once thats OK points are propperly gapped! Then set timming.
