1997 Ford Aspire Engine Motor Mount

How do I Know when I need a new Front end transaxle crossmember motor Mount,
When I shift gears I get a kick back from the motor.
Some one said it need a new fornt mount to hold the motor in place and keep it back in its place.
Or do I need motor seals in the back of the motor.

How do I put in new spark plus, 4

My engine light is on, the code read PO420

Please help me.

With the park brake on and the hood open, place the car in gear and slowly let out the clutch. If the mount is bad, the engine will lift. As far as the P0420 = Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold, has the check engine light ever come on?
