Electrical problem
1996 Ford Aspire 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I keep blowing the Eng. Inj. Fuse located under the hood, The fuse even blew when I just had the key turned to the accessory setting (where just the radio and lights were on) have any idea what components are connected to this fuse so I can start checking wires. I'm guessing I have a bare wire touching somewhere. have any ideas as to what it might be? Any help would be appreciated, Thank you

Hello and thanks for donating

There is a fuse labeled ENGINE and one labeled EGI INJ..the EGI INJ fuse protects the main engine controls, ignition system and the air bag restraint system. The ENGINE fuse protects the main engine controls, air bag system, anti lock brake system and cooling fans. You will need to check the wiring harnesses at these components, most likely one has melted or gotten damaged and is shorting out.
