The van failed to start three times when temperature is 0 F. Second stall, I added jumper cables and unit started up. Ran fine for 12 miles, parked in garage change filter and started up with no issue. Test drive was fine. Parked outside and will not start. Did sputtor. Any simple location to add a fuel pressure gauge. I am guessing the pump is defective ? No error codes. 3.0 Liter 145K miles.

Starter cranks engine over without any problem.

Let me know how you make out with this problem. My 97 Aerostar is doing the same thing. I thought it was the Coolant Temperature Sensor so I changed that but it still does the same thing. Something is telling the computer not to turn on the fuel pump.

Also is your Overdrive light on when you turn the key on before starting?
