Loud clunking from front right wheel area. Replaced cv joint, new shock absorbers, new tie rods. Noise comes on wheel rotation and on acceleration. Noise goes away for a couple of days and then comes back. There is no vibration in steering or on brake pedal.

IT COULD BE THE OTHER SIDE CV JOINT CHECK THE BOOT FOR HOLES AND SPLATTERED GREASE ALL AROUND, YOU CAN ADD MORE GREASE TO THEM WITH A NEEDLE TYPE GREASE GUN. IT COULD BE THE WHEEL BEARING OR THE RACK AND PINION UNIT, THEY CAN MAKE LOUD SHUDDERING NOISES WHILE YOU ARE TURNING THE WHEELS SOMETIMES. IT COULD ALSO BE THE UPPER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS (2) THEY ARE ROUND LIKE DONUTS AND YOU CAN SEE THEM FROM ABOVE THE TIRE BOLTED TO THE UPPER SIDE OF THE FRAME. IF YOU SEE BUSTED PIECES OF RUBBER COMING OUT THEN IT IS SHOT AND YOU CAN HEAR THEM HAMMERING ON BUMPS OR WHEN TURNING THE WHEELS.

Thank you very much I am going to replace lower ball joints and I will check the upper control arm bushings because it sounds like a tin pie plate being banged when I am driving
