Heater problem
1997 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 185KMS miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Both my mechanic and i can not solve the mystery of intermittent no heat and flutuating temp gauge. So far one head was replaced, both head gaskets replaced, water pump changed twice, second was an original Ford part, rad cap and thermostat changed twice. Coolant is and alway was clear - green. When working - temp in cabin from both front and rear heater blows hot, then within 40 minutes of start up or less, temp gauge dances between O and A (on the word NORMAL) and the heat slowly disappears. Stopping and shutting down for a few moments will bring heat back for a couple of minutes before the cycle begins again. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is a serious safety issue when driving in freezing rain.
