1996 Ford Aerostar check engine light misfire code

1996 Ford Aerostar V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 166604 miles

check engine light came on found we had a misfire on spark plug number 3 replaced all the plugs and plug wires reset computer check engine came back on after about 30 miles.

Check for power at the injector at cylinder #3. Also check the distributor cap and rotor for carbon build up and cracks also check for spark and proper gaping of that spark plug.

also the fuel injector should be humming/buzzing if not the injector may be bad. if all that checks out check the compressioin on that cylinder, if all of that is up to specs then the injector may need to be cleaned or replaced.
