1995 Ford Aerostar why my van just dies

i changed my alternater cuase i was told to. my battery needle is ok now.
but whether i drive i mile or at high at random my vanshuts down and i have to re-start it. could i get some ideas and do i need to change my battery its probably worn out because of the alternater goin out

If the battery starts the car, chances are it's good. Here is what I need you to do. Take the van to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. Most stores will do it for free, so at least I'll have a starting point. To me it sounds like a sensor problem (MAP) but I need to be sure.
