1994 Ford Aerostar transmission oil cooler

My transmission oil cooler was damaged in an accident. Trying to move three hours away and have to tow a boat. Just for the purpose of the move, can I just disconnect the cooler and be okay. Short on funds and time and just don't want to have to leave it behind and also need it to tow my boat.
