1993 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i CHANGED MY SPARK PLUGS AND WIRE SET, i ENSUREDE ALL THE BOOTS ARE SEATED. mY CAR HAS A ROUGH SPUTTERING SOUND AT IDLE TO INITIAL PRESS OF ACCELERATION. AFTER ACCELERATION IT SMOOTHS OUT.

iS THE PROBLEM MY CAP AND ROTOR?

Hello,

So, when was the last time the Cap and Rotor were changed? If it has been a while then I would suggest Changing them. Also a typical tune up for a vehicle that still have cap & rotor - Is to replace Cap Rotor, Plugs, Wires and PCV Valve.

It may not be but it is a place to start. If you look at the inside of the cap and there is deposits on the metal pieces then it is most likely the cause.
