Either the intake or outflow metal pipe at the pump is broken. Is this a huge job to repair, and what's your quess as to amount of cost? The reason I ask is the value of the vehical is less than $500. I have driven it less than two miles since the power steering went out.

Thanks, Vern

If the steel line on the pump is broken, the pump will need replaced. The part is about 100.00 and the labor should be around 2 hours.

NOTE: Remember, you know what you have. What can you get with a few hundred dollars. Sometimes it's better to fix the vehicle if the rest of it is good.

Let me know if you have other questions.
