1993 Ford Aerostar Dash lights wiring

93' Aerostar, 3.0 V6 180K miles

Dash lights and Radio lighting goes out when Headlights are turned on. Also intermittent tail lights working.
Replaced Dash Cluster On/off switch. Replaced wiring block that attaches to switch. Brown wire from harness is a bit frazzled and wiring block melted around Brown connector. Lights may return briefly with a bump in the road but then go out again. Any suggestions?

Hi Rua,

Seems like a connection or contact problem.
The melted connector terminal might not be providing enough contact, clean and tighten to see if it helps.

Has headlight switch and relay been checked?
