1993 Ford Aerostar Battery

1993 Ford Aerostar

I just bought a 93 aerostar and It needs a new battery, is it fairly simple to do my self?
also what else do you reccomend to do with a vehicle that hasn't been started in about a year?

Hi:
Yes, the battery is easy to replace. Just make sure not to short it on anything. When removing and replacing the positive terminal, don't bump anything steel with the wrench. Also, make sure the terminals are clean and in good condition before replacing them.

As far as sitting for a year, that may be a challange. Gas goes bad after sitting that long. If the engine starts but runs poorly, the problem may be the old gas, but it's hard to say until it's running again. It may be fine. Make sure the oil is full and clean and the coolant is full too.
