I am replacing the original alternator. At the same time, I am replacing both drive belts. I have the power steering belt on and tight. But, I am running into issues with the longer serpentine belt. I know it is the right size belt since I matched it up with the belt being replaced. I believe my problem is just the routing of the belt.

I have a Haynes book for the year/model, but it's diagram leaves a little to be desired. Worst case, I will stop somebody driving a similar Aerostar to look inside the engine.

Appreciate your help.
