Electrical problem
1989 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic n/a miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The battery cables were reversed on the van while it was at the mechanic's. After they were retunred to their normal positions, it won't start anymore, and they can't figure out how to fix it. I was hoping you could help me with this or give me some causes at least. Thanks alot for your time.

Hi there,

You will have to check all engine fuses and fusible links, the ECU may have been spiked, and is damaged. You will have to attempt to with draw any fault codes , but this may not be possible if the computer is fried. If your mechanic has cooked the electrics and has no idea how to inspect for faults, time to find a new mechanic.
