Hi AEROSTAR48,

When pressure builds up in the radiator, it coould mean
1. Problem with head gasket.
2. Lack of coolant in cooling system.
3. Faulty radiator cap.
4. Improper usage of coolants/ratios etc.

Amount for repair depends on what is wrong.

Hi AEROSTAR48,

They sure are a reliable mini van, 1989 model and still on the road speaks for itself.

Then again, it is almost 20 years old, how long more do you expect it to work? Maintenance cost might be high due to the age.

Well this no body damage tranny is good brakes are good and it runs
just needs al little work the intieor is good shape
I heard the Engine, no knocks or missing
it no water blown out the tail pipe or water leaks
from engine anywhere.
No water in the oil. Onlly $300
Back than I had a 1978 Dogge ram van
i was driving from work when an oil leak a bad one
luckly I had a case oil in the van
when the the oil leak was fix one frezze plugs blew
i to get it home soon as I can
i was only 20 miles from home I had to perform a auto survival job, stuffing a old in where the freeze plug blew and refill the radiator and keeping an eye
on the temp gauge pull of the road every five miles
waiting for the engine to cool down and refilling the radiator every 5 miles.
But I finaly got it home.

The one thing I glad to see is there is no water in the
oil, which means the heat gasket is not blown
and the head is warp.
It could only mean the 3 other thing that could be
causing some pressure in the radiator.

I'm always out in the morning check the fuilds and
going thoughj a check list to make sure everything is order.

Can you tell me what will cause an EGR light to go on
and how is the 89 ford aerostar is on gas?
