Flashing high beam headlight

Hello from Australia, I have a question about momentarily operating high beam. With the headlights turned off, is it possible to "flash"the high beam headlight by operating the multi functioning indicator/wiper/headlight stalk? Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but I am most familiar with a Toyota Land cruiser where it is easy to flash high beam simply by operating the indicator/wiper/headlight stalk, but this function does not seem to work on my truck. Hope you can help.
