My emergency flashers were on, so I tried to turn them off and accidentally broke the knob?

My emergency flashers were on, so I tried to turn them off and accidentally broke the knob that pushes in pulled it out and now the flashers are stuck on, and I don't know how to turn them off without the knob.

It sounds like the switch will need to be replaced or the steering column cover removed so you can work the switch with a small screwdriver. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
