valve body programming

what valve body the one in Transmission? modules get flashed and reprogrammed not valve bodies. if it is in the transmission then if not shifting properly then have a transmission professional look at it and scan for codes.

The dealership is stating that because the valve body is not the original, it can not communicate with the TCM. Should I put in the TCM that belongs to the used valve body? Or does it matter?

then the tcm has to be flashed or put the one that belongs to it or to the car as it's i'mportant not to replace modules without flashing them.

So your suggesting putting the TCM on from the existing valve body correct? Will this require a flash or relearning process?

Some transmission valve bodies have unique code numbers that need to be programmed into the TCM (transmission Control module) before they can work then with the code added you can then flash the module, flashing a used module only up grades the program it sounds as if there is a coms error between the valve body and the TCM check with Nissan and ask them if the valve body needs to have the id codes installed first.
