2006 Fiat Stilo grinding noise in third gear

2006 Fiat Stilo Front Wheel Drive Manual 70000 miles

when i go down the gears to 3rd there is a loud grinding noise as i slow but when i give sum accelarator it goes but jumps out of gear when i stop,
this is not happening in any other gear any help please?

the gearbox needs replacing or an overhaul !!
