2001 Fiat Stilo acceleration

When i try to accelrate it feels like its not running on all cylinders then it suddenly kicks in and the engine managment lights remains on any suggestions please

You need to have the cars computer read .. to get the exact fault .. but it sounds like a simple repair once you know the exact fault ?
