2000 Fiat Scudo 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

MY FIAT SCUDO 1.9TD SUDDENLY WONT START, IVE HAD NO PRIOR STARTING PROBLEMS AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO CHECK TO DIAGNOSE OR RECTIFY MY STARTING PROBLEM, I AM NOT SURE WHERE THE FUEL CUT OFF SWITCH IS ALLOCATED? OR IF THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE I CAN DO - THE ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE FIRING, ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!

check the timing belt is good .. check for fule and spark at plugs
