Whilst driving my acclerator keeps sticking, when I'm slowing down or changing gear(putting the clutch down) the car contiues to rev. My partner thinks it might be a problem with the accelerator cable, but if not what else could it be?

Also, when i start the car/go to pull off it cuts out, it almost feels like the acclerator isn't engaging/there's no revs there.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Becky Hendry.

Open it up and clean the throttle plate bore and check if its the cable-could be kinked.
