2000 Other Fiat Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 55.000 miles

hi, i recently purchased a 1.2 fiat punto sporting. it ran ok for a month then everything went wrong, i ended up buying another punto engine to put in my car! i have changed the ecu and everything looks good except i cant get a spark! any ideas what could be wrong?

start by checking all wiring is connected
