1997 Fiat Bravo timing belt

It appears the timing belt on my fiat has broken ,as it is in cyprus I am not sure how much work is involved to replace it ,and its difficult to know what damage this has done , and also how much work would be involved, could you give me an approx idea of this before I commit to the work being done, the best and worst cinario. the fiat bravo does not usually break valves or pistons when belt breaks and should cost around 300 pounds to repair
