Just wondering if a faulty oil switch would cause a no start as my oil light turned on? It has oil. It cranks now but will not start.

I doubt it, but to be sure you can ground out the oil switch wire, this will indicate full oil pressure and the light will go out. if it does start, you will have an oil alert system fitted which has shut down the engine, if so replace the switch, start here.
