faulty injector, electrical problem

My 3SFE engine starts then die immediately, if i prime the engine manually then it will run for a second. i changed the fuel pump and the EFI fuse and relay, but I am still having the problem. i placed the key to the on position, tested the injectors and the test light glowed, now i had someone crank the engine while testing the injector but the test light did npt glow.
So current is at the injectors when the key is set to on but no current is present when the key is at start position. what else can i do?

Check/test the cold start Injector (located in the intake manifold, it has a fuel line running to it).
Remove the wiring connector from the cold start Injector and check the resistance between its terminals. If the engine is cold the resistance should be between 3 - 5 ohms.
Also, check for voltage at the terminals of the wiring harness (with ignition switch on).

Caution: Be sure that the ignition switch is "off" during the resistance check, battery voltage (12v) can ruin your ohmmeter.

Resistance is there, current is there also, its the electronic fuel injectors that do not have any current when key turns to start position, current is only present when the key is at the on position.

Which engine does your car have the 3S-GE or the 3S-FE (serial numbers)?

The injectors on some models are linked to resistors which reduces operating voltage to 3 volts (to protect the injectors from power surges). In a system wired like this a test light on the injector will not light up during cranking (3V will not light a testlight). In a case like that you would need a NOID light to test the injector during starting and when the engine is running. My sources show the 3S-FE to be wired this way.

The engine serial number is stamped on the side of the block (sometimes it is at the back of the block just under where the cylinder head and block join).

Its a first generation 1987 3sfe 2000 litre engine.

If i prime the engine while cranking then it will start and throttle until the fuel in the head is burned out then it would stall,which means the car is not getting any fuel from the injectors.

Have the ignition switch checked. Seems it is bad.

Please use a NOID light to check the injectors while the engine is being cranked.

Turned out it was a screw on the injector rail that was fitted incorrectly and therefore cut the flow of gas
